2023 SERVE Work Camp: Sacraments, Service, and Sacrifice

*Rising 7th, 8th, 9th graders interested in participating in a local service experience.

Due to logistical complexity of the event, participants must attend the entire day: Early departures are not permitted.

For doctor appointment, the participant will return to the following work camp day; they will not be able to return the same day.

Purpose: This is an opportunity for middle school students to grow closer to Jesus Christ while serving our local community. There will be daily Mass, opportunity for Confession and Adoration; talks and small group discussions. Service projects will include: local outreach, work at each participating parish, assisting with the parish food pantry, and more!

ATTENTION: Parents must Attend “Parent Info Night” on Wednesday, July 5, 2022 at 6:00pm in the Gym at St Mark Catholic Church.

Location: July 6-8, St. Mark Catholic Church, 9970 Vale Rd, Vienna, VA 22181

Attire: Comfortable, modest work clothes (shorts need to be to fingertip length, no tank tops or skintight clothes, including yoga pants/leggings), sneakers. Bring sunscreen, water bottle, and a good attitude.

Meals: Breakfast, dinner, and snacks provided. Please bring your own bag lunch for Monday-Wednesday. No nuts or sesame please.

Cell Phones and electronic devices: Not Allowed. Devices including smart watches (Apple) are NOT allowed, and are grounds for dismissal. We will have a cell phone box to turn in phones at the beginning of each day.

Fee: Pay via check only: $90 for each participant, includes t-shirt. Regardless of cost all are welcome–let us know how we can help!
